Al-Rahmaniah Ladies Library and Auditorium Addition
Al-Ghat, Saudi Arabia
The firm were asked to add a Ladies Library (443 sm) and 200–seat Auditorium (300 sm) to the previous library and mosque. The buildings were designed with the same natural material pallet and knowledge of mistakes learned with the first buildings. Spans were shortened using more mud block and plaster arcades as bearing walls decrease use of foreign wood.
